gidimo
gidimo is Africa’s first dedicated mobile learning and personal growth platform, produced by Gidi Mobile Ltd, a young startup from Nigeria.
The challenge working on gidimo was the diversity of the content. The app is composed of many “sub-apps” :
• BrainGym : Learn random stuff from different topics.
• gidiPrep : Prepare for your exams and tests.
• gidiChat : Chat with anyone in gidimo.
• gidiLife : Stay informed with news headlines, LIVE scores of your favourite sports, cinema & flight schedules, exchange rates..etc.
Each app is very rich in terms of content, which made me focus on consistency through all the design.

gidiChat :
The gidiChat app can be used to talk with people, groups and brands inside the gidimo network + Facebook friends.
gidiChat — Proposition :
To help people easily switch between conversations, I wanted to see if there wasn’t another way of making the gidiChat app, so this was a proposition that could work (but needed to be tested to learn if it really helps) :
The app is split into 2 parts : the Conversation + Contacts list.
The navbar in the middle should be draggable to the top or the bottom to the reveal the rest of the content :

gidiLife
gidiLife hasn’t had a real change, we just used the same lists design as shown previously on other screens.
my gidimo
The mygidimo view is a place where users would : see their gidiWallet, manage they subscription and get a list of their downloads.
